Product Description

Directions for Use
  • This aminosilane is an excellent adhesion promoter for acrylic coatings, adhesives, and sealants. For vulcanizates, polyurethanes, RTV, epoxy resins, nitriles, phenolic resins, adhesives, and sealants, aminosilane improves pigment dispersion and enhances adhesion to glass, aluminum, and steel.
  • When used in glass-fiber-reinforced thermosets and thermoplastics, aminosilane BKTK-1302 significantly increases the flexural, tensile, and interlaminar shear strengths in both the wet and dry states, and significantly improves the electrical properties in the wet state. The flexural and tensile strengths of glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics, polyamides, polyesters, and polycarbonates are increased both before and after water immersion when using this silane in both the wet and dry states.
  • When added to phenolic resin based adhesives, this product improves moisture resistance and elasticity after compression.
  • This product can significantly improve the physical, mechanical and electrical properties of inorganic filler-filled phenolic resins, polyester resins, epoxy, polyamine, polycarbonate and other thermoplastic and thermosetting resins, and improve the wettability and dispersion of fillers in the polymer.
  • Impact strength, bending strength, bending modulus and other mechanical properties of composite materials made from wood flour treated with this product are improved.
  • This product can reduce the amount of phenolic resin or furan resin binding agent of quartz sand casting mold, and the strength of sand is improved and the amount of gassing is also reduced.
Safety and Storage

Customers should review the latest MSDS and product safety information labels.

Individual instructions for safe handling of the product contain information on protective equipment, if necessary, and on special storage conditions required to ensure safety.

Store away from heat and open flames in a cool, dry place.

Keep tightly closed, otherwise it will hydrolyze and form polymers when exposed to moisture.

Packaging Specifications

Finished products are packed in plastic drums of 5 kg, 20 kg, 200 kg.

Other specifications are available upon request.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does this aminosilane function as an adhesion promoter?

It serves as an excellent adhesion promoter for various coatings, adhesives, and sealants. It improves pigment dispersion and significantly enhances adhesion to inorganic substrates like glass, aluminum, and steel.

Q: What benefits does it offer to glass-fiber-reinforced composites?

It significantly increases the flexural, tensile, and interlaminar shear strengths of glass-fiber-reinforced thermosets and thermoplastics in both wet and dry states. It also enhances electrical properties under wet conditions.

Q: Can it improve moisture resistance in phenolic resin adhesives?

Yes. When added to phenolic resin-based adhesives, this product effectively improves moisture resistance and preserves elasticity after compression.

Q: How does it affect quartz sand casting molds?

This product reduces the required amount of phenolic or furan resin binding agent, thereby increasing the strength of the sand mold while simultaneously reducing the amount of gassing.

Q: What are the specific storage requirements for this product?

The product should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat and open flames. It must be kept tightly sealed to prevent exposure to moisture, which triggers hydrolysis and polymer formation.

Q: What packaging options are available?

Standard packaging specifications include 5 kg, 20 kg, and 200 kg plastic drums. Alternative packaging configurations can be supplied upon request.
